Not a medical device, not medical advice

NexusCare is a personal organisation and support tool. It is not a certified medical device, and nothing in the app — including the symptom diary, the phone-accelerometer tremor reading, the fall/freeze detection feature, the medication reminders, or the AI Companion chat — is medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Always follow the advice of your neurologist, GP, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare provider, and never delay seeking their advice because of something NexusCare showed you.

No doctor-patient relationship

Using NexusCare, including exchanging messages with the AI Companion, does not create a doctor-patient relationship with the app's developer, Aussi-Nexus Group, or anyone associated with them — even where that person separately holds medical qualifications. The AI Companion is an automated, non-clinical support feature. It cannot examine you, cannot access your medical records, and must never be relied on for a medical decision, including decisions about medication, dosing, or emergency care.

The tremor reading is a personal trend indicator only

The phone-accelerometer tremor measurement produces a relative, uncalibrated indicator meant to help you notice your own trends over time. It is not a validated clinical measurement of tremor severity and should not be used to make treatment decisions on its own.

Fall/freeze auto-detect is a heuristic, not a safety guarantee

The fall/freeze auto-detect feature uses your phone's motion sensor to guess at a possible fall or freezing episode. It can miss real falls (a false negative) and can misfire on ordinary movement (a false positive). It is a convenience feature only and must never be relied upon as your sole safety plan.

NexusCare cannot call 000, an ambulance, police, or Lifeline for you

This is the most important thing to understand about this app. No independently built app — including this one — can automatically dial or notify Australia's emergency services (000) or the Lifeline crisis line on your behalf; doing so requires a formal integration that only telecommunications carriers and emergency-service bodies can provide. Every "Call 000" and "Call Lifeline" button in NexusCare simply opens your phone's own dialer with the number pre-filled — a real person (you, or whoever is holding the phone) must still press call. The SOS button, and the fall/freeze auto-detect feature, notify your registered caregiver(s) by email and by an in-app alert — they do not contact emergency services, and they do not guarantee your caregiver will see the alert, or see it in time. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 000 yourself (or 112 from a mobile) immediately. If you are in emotional distress or crisis, call Lifeline on 13 11 14, available 24/7. Do not wait on this app.

No guarantee of uninterrupted service

NexusCare depends on your phone's battery, sensors, and camera; on your internet connection; and on third-party services (including Stripe for billing and Groq for the AI features) being available. We do not guarantee the app will always be available, accurate, or free of errors, and we are not liable for a missed reminder, a missed alert, or a failed message caused by any of these dependencies.
